    HI,

I have an EE 1.6.8 site with EE forums 2.1.0. A client needs to export all posts for a time period for legal reasons. Is there a way to export posts with the username and other items and in a threaded format?  Could be a plain text file, or even an HTML page, it doesn’t matter.

This would be about 15,000 posts.

My first thought would be to use phpmyadmin to do it….this would export the posts with the user number rather than name…

See enclosed - this is the info in the forum_posts file. So you can search for them in phpmysql using unix time and output to one big text file.

    Hi tpayton,

This is not currently possible out of the box. However as handyman suggested you could do this using am sql query to export them to a format that works best for you, perhaps XML.

If you like, I could move this thread to community support.
