Hi.
I’ve had a quick look at the documentation and can’t see a way of allowing the user to dynamically sort comments from the comment module, i.e. to have the option to have the most recent, or the oldest, first. Is this possible?
Many thanks.

Hi LightmakerUK,
Do you want to sort comments in the control panel or on the front end of the site?
If you mean in the front end of the site have you looked at the paramenters orderby=”“ and sort=”“
Could you post back with more details of what you are trying to do and what version of EE you are using?

Hi Sean.
Yep, I’m aware of the parameters. I want to allow the user to be able to sort the comments from the front end, so a button for sort ascending, and a button for sort descending. I was hoping that there maybe an equivalent to the channel module’s dynamic parameters that I’d missed.
I’m guessing that I’ll have to have a couple of ‘if’ statements in my template that looks for a URL segment, and pass the the required sorting method that way.
I’m using the latest EE version.

Hi LightmakerUK,
Unfortunately that is not available out of the box with EE. Have you searched Devot://ee to see if there are any add-ons to help you? If you would like, I can move this thread to community support.

Thanks Sean.
Yes, I’ve had a look on Devot:ee - couldn’t see anything that would help out though. Moving this thread to community support maybe helpful - someone may have come across this issue before.
