In short he has found a CDN host that is pretty fast.
CDN = Content Delivery Network
In a nutshell a CDN is a system which copies all your static files across the globe so that when the webpage and assets are requested by the browser you get the file that is closest to your location, reducing the download time quite significantly.
It means your static web content loads much faster. Doesn’t inprove performance on dynamic content though.
That’s a very rough explanation from a hungover saturday morning 😊
