I created a member group called:  ADMIN
I based it off of the SUPER ADMIN group.
    I changed absolutely nothing.
By default, this group may not create member groups.
I only created this group so they couldn’t log-in as me or delete me.

However, there is a problem when trying to access the channel management:

Fatal error: Call to a member function result() on a non-object in .......blahblah/views/admin/channel_management.php on line 31

    Hi @nnette,

I’m sorry you have run into this. Let me do what I can to help you out with this. Couple of things first:
    1) are you seeing this error when you try to create a new user within this group?
    2) what version of ExpressionEngine is giving you this error?

    Thanks!

I kind of figured out how to fix it, but it seems awkward.

Essentially, I had to go into the members preferences and actually select the specific channel I wanted that ADMIN group to be able to access.  I do like having the ability to specifically limit certain channels, however when I essentially want another SUPER Admin - just that they may not delete me, it will get slightly annoying to have to go in and enable those channels whenever a new one is added.

The weird thing is that they can create channels now that I gave permission to the first one, so I don’t know what to think 😛

    Hi Annette,

Thanks for posting back with the solution, and thanks for helping us find this bug! I posted it here on your behalf so our devs can see it.

Is there anything else I can do to help?
