Hi All - quick question:
I had been using the protected link add-on and it suddenly stopped working. In this case, EE is installed on a client’s own internal Windows server. When i exchanged emails with the add-on developer, he said it was because of a misconfiguration of CURL Library, such that his add-on was not able to fetch and encrypt the file’s location by its URL. So my question is this - what role does CURL play in EE generally? Even if I find a workaround for this particular problem, are there other problems lurking around the corner if my client doesn’t have the CURL library configured correctly?
