Today something weird happened: I installed an extension on my EE 2.2.2 install, it’s called CM Nice url, I need it to convert cyrillic characters in the Title field to custom characters in the URL Title field.

The original thread about this add-on is archived, that’s why I’m posting my question in a new one.

The extension is working for all users except one. Everytime this user tries to create a new entry or edit an existing one, it gets the following error:

Unable to load the requested language file: language/italian/Cm_nice_url_lang.php

However the file is there, but this particular user can’t access it. He’s a super Admin and has access to everything. The add-on seems to work for all the other user, though. I’ve never had such an issue.

If this issue cannot be solved, is there any other way to do the same character conversion without using this plug-in?

    hi lonelytraveller,

You will need to contact the author of the addon for detailed support.

Have you tried to replicate what the other user is using as a title?

Has the user choosen the correct language in their account area?

You may find other addons on devot-ee.com

    Hi John,
I wrote a mail to the author, but he never replied.
The problem has got nothing to do with the title: as soon as the user clicked on the title of the entry he wanted to edit, or tried to create a new entry he got the error page, so he never even managed to get to the publish page.
Also the language (italian) was the same as all the other users, but he was still the only one with this problem.

However, I assigned the user to another group, then assigned him back to the super admin group and now the problem seems to be gone. It definitely looked like a problem with the user permissions to read the add-on file, even if as a super admin he should have been able to get access to it.

    Hi lonelytraveller,

To confirm is this issue solved now or does a portion of it still remain?
