I have the CMS on one of my sites set up to where I have several custom input channels that allow for file uploads. If I create a new entry or edit an existing one, clicking on add file brings up the file manager and allows me to upload a file from my computer without a problem.  The file manager also shows the custom upload path/directory I created, but it does not show any of the contents.  Is there any way to fix this?  Please advise.

    Hey Daniel Cardenas,

Sorry to see you are encountering this issue.

Can you go to the main file manager page “Content -> Files -> File Manager” and confirm whether or not you see your files listed here? I’m wondering if the files aren’t showing up in the modal only, or the modal, and the file manager page.

If none of the files show up, can you check the actual folder the upload path is set to and see if there are files in there?

If there are files in there, can you go to “Content -> Files -> File Manager -> File Upload Preferences” and try synchronizing each directory?

Finally, what version of ExpressionEngine are you running? And is this a fresh install or a recently updated site?

Thank you. Hopefully the answers to these questions will get this issue taken care of.

I checked out all of the file manager settings, and everything is fine.  I can also see all of the file directory contents in the file manager.  The problem is when I go to an entry and want to browse the directory from the custom file channel I created.  It will list the file directory, but not list any contents.  As a test, I created a new file upload path and added some content into the directory.  The content from this channel displays from the entry.

I am using 2.2.2, fresh install.

    Daniel,

It’s always a good idea to update to the latest version 2.3.1 - could you do that and let me know if the problem persists.

    Sean
