Hi there,

I’m sure this is a simple one, but here goes:

I’m setting up member groups and would like to give one group access to publish new entries, but for those entries to need to be moderated by an administrator before going live.

Is this possible as standard or is there an add-on I need?

No addon needed, just a combination of member groups (one for content entry and one for content approval) and statuses (content entry group only has access to a draft status).

The only problem is that I can’t seem to stop the ‘Closed’ status showing, even though it says this shouldn’t be available for this member group. It also defaults to Closed rather than Draft?

Any tips?

You should be able to set the default status in the Channel configuration.

Not sure on the visibility of the closed status - if you’ve removed the specific member group from being able to see that and it still appears I’d log a tech support request.
