    Hello EE 2 forum,
So I keep getting the above error on a new site I set up and I’ve read close to all of the posts that come up when searching for that error but I couldn’t find a solution that quite fit.

    Some details:
    EE V 2.1.3
    MSM 2.1.1
    Engine Hosting
The main site & other sub sites are working fine (there are 16 total incl. the main site. the 16th one - mine! - isn’t working)
I took over for another designer; I am very new at EE. (you can see the green behind my ears, right?!)
The $assign_to_config[‘site_name’] = ‘stcasia’; matches the database site_name. It looks like all the serialized data is there.

I’ve been working on this for almost two days? Maybe three? I’ve deleted the site and started over. Reading posts and… harassing the prior designer. poor guy. 🙄

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi, gtforum.

Is there a reason why you’re not using EE2.3.1 ? You’re using the MSM that’s the most current, but not EE itself.

That may or may not have anything to do with it.. is that something you can get done?

    Hi Sue,
I just inherited the site and the prior designer chose not to do the update for stability reasons - that’s all i know - though i have the upgrade files & it is on my list! 😊

As for this error, it turns out I was given the wrong database & hosting accounts so of course nothing is going to work! i hope this solves the issue but thank you so much for getting back to me!
