Hi
I was running EE1.6 on a site and the admin panel was loading totally stripped of formatting, no graphics or anything in the interface. I thought it was a version problem since 1.6 is so old. so I upgraded to 1.7 and the admin panel still looks the same. seems like files are missing, I just dont know which or why how this happened (And w hy the version upgrade didnt fix it)
not sure what is wrong. does anyone know how to fix this?

Double check that you uploaded all of your /themes folder. Also take a look at this item in the EEDocs:// Unstyled CP

thanks. I put the directory into the system folder and it worked perfectly. that was driving me crazy. It used to work, I wonder if the host changed something in the php on the server. Thank you so much. EE really has the best community support around!

It’s hard to tell what hosts do sometimes. 😊 I just know how to fix it. We used to see this problem quite a bit a few years ago, glad I remembered it. 😊
