Upgrade or fresh install??

Hello,

I was on 1.63 and I just bought the upgrade to 2.x

I am not only updating EE, but the site as well. I downloaded the update, but I cleaned off the server for a fresh install for the new site. I am having trouble now wiith the new install.

Does the ExpressionEngine 2.x Commercial License Update not allo install from a blank dir/site?

Hi, Tpaul. Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums!

Let’s first of all make sure that your server is set up to use EE2.x.

Have you tried running the Server Wizard found here? You didn’t mention what problem you were having with the new install…
