Here’s the deal… We currently have a website that has certain assets such as pdf’s. We are also redeveloping our company intranet. I am suggesting that we host the intranet along side of the external website so that we can have one repository of documents instead of two, as there will be documents that would appear on both sites. Is there a way to lock down direct file access to pdf’s so that they can only be downloaded by going through a link on a page?

    Thanks!

Protected Links might be most of the way there, depending on the type of restrictive access you’re looking to apply.  There’s a few other options on devotee.com as well.
