    Hello all,

    I have searched this forum and tried almost all things that has been written.

    - EE version: 2.3.1
    - PHP version: 5.3.6
    - I moved my website and followed the steps mentioned in the user guide.
    - I checked and double checked the folder and file settings.
    - I also added to the config file:
    $config[‘admin_session_type’] = “c”;
    $config[‘require_ip_for_login’] = “n”;
    $config[‘secure_forms’] = “n”;
    - Did clear cookies and browser cache.
    - needed to reset my password at the cp section, did that (worked, got the mail and the reset link, that worked)

    But when I press login, I never get in.

    Who could help me?

    Kind regards,
    Martijn

    EDIT:
    Oeps, didn’t notice that I had posted in EE1 forum, could someone move this post to EE2 forum?

    Hello Sue,

    I am using Firefox 7.0.1 and/or safari 5.1.1
    Running Mac OS X 10.7.2

    Extra info, when i run the EE wizard. I get all green.

    Right now I am trying to get in with IE, (using parallels to run windows) blue progress bar is half-way. (halted for 5 min now)

    Update: nov 2, 12:26 pm:
    - IE 9 and IE 8 are also not able to load the admin cp.
    - When I visit my website it shows that I am logged in as admin. I can also get to my admin settings as user.
    But still not able to load CP.

    Tried a new installation on a sub domain.

    Works like a charm.
    So installing a new version shows me for sure it should run.
    (love the new fast server 😊 )

    Now hoping that someone from ee will ever response?

    Hi, Gfive(tm)  - I’m sorry we weren’t able to respond in a faster manner. We work on a queuing system, and sometimes that queue can get backed up.

    So do you still require assistance?

    Hello Sue,

    Yes I still need Assistance.
    While this is not my only ee site that I need to move.

    Last update:
    I went back to my other server and disabled all unneeded modules, extensions etc.
    Created a new mysql file and moved the files and mysql file to the new server.

    Now I get it, but now I see a white blank CP screen.

    Hi Gfive(tm),

    A blank screen is usually indicates a suppressed error.
    Can you open up your admin.php and turn on debugging please

    $debug = 1;

    Now revisit http://www.mydomain.com/admin.php

    Do you see any errors?

    If so can you reply with them here please?

    Hello John,

    Mysql version where most of the modules, extensions a.o. are disabled:
    I turned $debug = 1; on.
    No errors output, blank CP screen after login.

    Full Mysql version:
    turned $debug = 1; on.
    No errors output, not able to login.

    It’s one installation, but I created 2 different mysql dumbs.

    Hi, Gfive(tm)

    Let’s try something a bit different.

    You said that if you do a brand new install, everything works as expected, right?  Is there a possibility your database dump is bad? Did you edit any of it by hand perhaps?

    Old server:
    PHP 5.2.6
    Mysql 5.1

    New server:
    PHP 5.3.6
    Mysql 5.5

    I tried 3 versions.
    Mysql Dump
    phpmyadmin (latest) auto settings for export
    phpmyadmin (latest) my own settings for export

    I did not alter the mysql files.
    I made 2 mysql dumbs (and phpmyadmin exports)
    1 - as the website is, all modules activated etc
    2 - all modules I didn’t need right now disabled

    And yes, a new install works.
