Anyone?

I am not sure the issue can be a server side thing as I am running all sites of the same server and have discovered that site 1, site 2 and site 3 all work with HTTP access set up, but site 4, site 5 and site 6 do not… therefore I am wondering if it could be something to do with additional sites added to MSM?
Hi Edd,
Thanks for your patience. When you say it doesn’t work, what do you mean exactly? What are you trying, what is the expected behavior, and what happens instead? And if sites 1-3 work as expected and sites 4-6 do not, what settings do you have in place that are different between those two groups?

Kevin,
Sorry I could have been clearer.
All sites allow me to enable HTTP access to templates in the CP. However, only sites 1,2 & 3 then recognise my (super admin) username and password when trying to access them front the front end. Sites 4,5 & 6 do not accept the username and password, therefore I am unable to access them.
No different settings between sites 1,2&3 and sites 4,5&6 really. Similar structure, same database, same server, sites 2&3 have subdomains as do sites 4,5 & 6.

Edd, I’d like to get a firsthand look at this if that’s alright. Be on the lookout for an email from me.

Hi Kevin,
If I am going to give you access can I request that you also sort out my upgrade to 2.3.1, the HTTP access to sites 4,5&6 with super admin and also the issue with site login for site 2 returning to index page of site 1. I currently have threads for all three of these issues…
Also I must point out that as a work around I have added http username and password access to sites 5 & 6 with my own .htaccess files. At no point can either of these sites have no access security on them.
Can you agree to this?
Regards,
Edd

Edd,
If you’d like to share your login details, I would be glad to address the specific issue we’re discussing here in this thread as well as the issue in this thread. I’ve only seen those two threads posted to our forums.
Please understand that I’m offering to login to your system as a courtesy in order to try to get you to a resolution on these issues quicker. This is far beyond what we can usually provide in the way of service.

I do appreciate this Kevin and thank you for your support. This thread actually began with the upgrade issue. See previous page. Will switch over to email now.
Cheers,
Edd

Hi Edd,
Please fill out the login request form that I sent first. Once we have your credentials, the system will send you an email, and you can then respond to it with any additional information you need to include. Please do not email me directly since that information will not be available to our whole support team.
Thanks,
