    Hi all,

In brief this is what I am looking to do:

Have a site where somewhere within the site I can have a message box that will send a message to the admin.  This is simple, but ideally I want this to have admin reply to this and so forth as a messaging function (similar to sms on a iphone or android - nothing as complex as a forum, or no ability to message others)

Ideally this is from some module that I can install in the back end without users having to go into the backend to do this, though if I have to I will be use the back end messaging section. If I have to use the standard back end messaging tool, is there a way that this can only message the admin, and have some form of alert to say there’s a new message?

note: I will be using the membrr module - though i’ve not tried it as awaiting my client’s go-ahead..

    Many thanks in advance,

    James

What about a dedicated channel, templates, Safecracker, and permissions set appropriately?

Thanks. I thought about using simple channel that can be updated by a form (safecracker seems pretty good - i’ll have to try it)  Can you have channels automatically created from a users ID?  Or you you have one channel for all messages but only allow those posted by a certain user visible?

    I’d pursue the latter.
