This question may be related to a resolved thread.

I did following:

Installed EE
removed installer
Followed Best Practices:
Moved system to ../
Renamed it to something that you cant guess right now (Hope so :D)
I then start getting error: Your system folder path does not appear to be set correctly. Please open the following file and correct this

Checked, rechecked and then rechecked again before making this post.I checked traversing folders from FTP per file settings and i dont see any issues. I have used both ./ and ../ in ftp and i can still access the system folder from FTP.

I am in VPS environment.

Kindly advise.

PS: I am new to EE. This is my first encounter with EE. Migrating from Joomla. Please excuse if i am non compliant with forum rules.

This is resolved. I had to change paths to

../../system in
index.php and admin.php
