We have a couple of issues that are becoming mission critical in being able to upload content from the client’s side.

All issues are on FireFox on Windows, running 2.3.0.

    1. There’s a unresponsive script (/themes/javascript/compressed/jquery/jquery.vs) that’s making the edit form load very slowly or not at all

    2. This may be related to the above issue, but other tabs are not accessible in the edit form as well

The issue is compounded by the site not accessible via Chrome (login page simply returns to itself and does not go past it), reported in a separate ticket.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Jae,

Is this script issue on the same site as the one that you posted to your support request?

If so then Kevin will be dealing with that request as soon as he can and hopefully once your login issues are sorted we can see about getting this issue sorted too.

Just out of interest though I see you have a fair amount of tabs in the Edit view there. Do any of these tabs relate to 3rd party modules at all and if so are you able to disable them to see if that speeds things up at all?

It may well be a 3rd party extension or module that is causing this as I can’t replicate any speed issues or script issues on a brand new 2.3.0 install.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

It is the same site, although the login issue is effecting all of our sites. This particular site is more mission critical than others, and with the added report from our clients that they cannot access any tabs. Since Chrome is also locked out, currently there are no ways to edit content in other tabs.

Regarding the number of tabs, the only one that’s driven from a 3rd party is the NSM Better Meta tab. All others are admin-created, just to separate and organize the fields. (Forums and Pages are, of course, native EE tabs.)

Thanks Mark, and I haven’t heard back from Kevin yet but hopefully soon.

    Much appreciated, especially during EECI!

    Hi Jae,

Yes hopefully Kevin or someone else should reply soon. There is a queue that everyone works through so it may just be that there are others ahead of you in the queue though. They will get to you as soon as they can though.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Just following up—everything seems to be running well now. We’ve upgraded to 2.3.1 and although I’m not sure if it was the actual fix, tabs are working (albeit a bit slow).

Thank you everyone for helping out!
