Anybody else getting PHP errors in the #eecms Translation Utility file edit screens? I’ve got a fresh install of EE 2.3 on MAMP localhost (PHP version 5.3.6).

The exact messages on the edit screen are:

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined index: index
    Filename: libraries/Menu.php
    Line Number: 1051

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Warning
Message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/system/codeigniter/system/core/Exceptions.php:170)
    Filename: core/Common.php
    Line Number: 409

And then, when trying to save an edited language file, one gets these errors (the save operation fails):

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined index: index
    Filename: libraries/Menu.php
    Line Number: 1051

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Warning
Message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/system/codeigniter/system/core/Exceptions.php:170)
    Filename: libraries/Functions.php
    Line Number: 767

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Warning
Message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/system/codeigniter/system/core/Exceptions.php:170)
    Filename: libraries/Functions.php
    Line Number: 393

Are my permissions missing something, or have I encountered some bugs?

    Line Number: 1051

    Hi, guys.

Take a look at this bug report. There’s a bug fix listed in there too.

The suggested fix in the bug report fixes the error messages on the edit screen and when saving a file. Saving the file works now.

While I don’t appreciate encountering the bug (looking at the exact nature of what was missing from that array, it’s just pure sloppiness and failure to test, although I guess the same can be said of any bug), I do appreciate the quick fix on the 12th, which I missed, and getting a response from EllisLab in these forums on what is for you a Sunday. Thanks, Sue.

Hi, Brendon. We’re attempting to tighten up testing, I hate bugs too. 😊 We do have limited support on the weekends, several of us rotate.

Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
