    I am trying to learn how to deploy EE sites I develop and have found the “Deploy Helper” module. I successfully transferred a project from one development site to a new development site with no issues.

    I tried transferring a live site to my development server but when I go to the root URL I get the following error:
    Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error

    Any ideas what might cause this and how do I fix it?

    I was having the same problem and the fixes listed in that other thread didn’t work for me. What finally did it was setting $config[‘debug’] to “0” in my config.php file. Maybe it will work for you, too?

    It seemed to have fixed itself so it may have been a cache issue from the site transfer. I cleared all caches prior to the move but I guess that wasn’t enough…

    Funny thing is that it happened when I went to the root url at first. After a while I tried going to another page and that one worked. Then I noticed that almost all the pages worked but there were a few that gave this error. When I came back to it later on they all were working.

    I have checked my $config[‘debug’] and it was set to 1 (this was from the default install) so I have set it to “0”, hopefully that prevents it from happening again…

    I am having the same issue and can not figure this out, it makes no sense. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I am running on WAMP for local dev and the site pulls up when not logged in just fine but not so when logged in. I have looked at this page and the other post concerning the 330 error and none of them have solved the problem. Any ideas?

    Ok, so I looked at another site on my local drive and found that it is doing something similiar but not exactly the same. The site at least comes up when logged in, but the CSS images don’t appear (it seems like a rewrite issue). But when I log out they are there. Any thoughts?
