Hello there,

We’ve got a session problem with EE v2.2.1 - Build 20110801. Our client is on a large internal network, and everyone on that network is being logged out upon submitting forms or after a few page clicks. Here’s the scoop:

- Both session types are set to cookies only. All three session options have been tried.
- We have set the cookie domain
- We turned off requiring an IP for posting
- We turned off requiring an IP for logging in
- We have turned off secure forms

The one piece of evidence we were able to get is that people accessing sites from this network will have one of two IP addresses. Would this have implications for more than one user trying to log in just using cookies?

We noticed the problem when using a Safecracker form - people on the network were getting a “you are not authorized to post in this channel” message. We’re not sure exactly, but we think this is because it is logging them out. All permissions are correct, as everything works fine on external networks.

Any advice or help would be appreciated!

Sorry that you are having these problems. Let’s see what we can do to sort this out for you.

I see you are using 2.2.1. Would it be possible for you to update to the latest version just to make sure that nothing in that older version is at play here?

I believe this may be related to a bug report here.

Could you possibly check the reproduction notes in that bug to see if that indeed happens when you follow them.
