i have a channel with a file field type but I’d need to print only the file name and not the full path. Is it possible?

Check out File Oracle: http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/file-oracle

It has a few tags which will be useful, such as {filename} and {extension}...

Thank you Matt, I’ll have a look at it even if I just solved it by using channel files. I didn’t think about it even if i had already installed it for that website because on that field i need users to upload only one file per time, so i’ll try with the add-on you suggest
