For a new project I’m working on I created a blank theme based on the HTML5 Boilerplate framework (http://html5boilerplate.com).

It sets up a basic blog with static pages, search, channels, snippets and uses an adapted HTML5 htaccess file that incorporates the remove index.php script for use in EE 2.2. It needs a few plugins added such as Freeform, TruncHTML & tagstripper which I’ve bundled with the theme.

If this is of use to anyone let me know and I’ll clean it up and set up a little download page.
