User-based Workflow

I’m thinking of creating an administration-sector for my client, which is different to the control panel. Like this, I can easily offer specific workflows. In other words: I don’t want to give my client access to the control panel. Instead, he logs in and has different workflows to choose of. For example “Add/edit a product” or “Add/edit a retailer”. The workflow has to be very easy - like a wizard. This is, because my client has very low IT-skills.

Has someone made this before? What do you think of this solution? Can I run into problems?

I can tell you that it’s certainly possible, using some separate templates accessible to your administrator group by log-in only, and the templates would use Safecracker forms for editing and publishing.

A workflow add-on is also due to be launched this week by Electric Labs.

Thanks for your answer! Add-on? Sounds great, I’ll keep an eye on it 😉
