This question may be related to a resolved thread.

Hoping I can get some help here, as I’m having the same problem but the solutions above are not fixing it for me.

I’m running the SCM 2.0 on EE2.2 (Build 20110801). SCM is not debug mode.
    - I’ve logged in as a verified paypal buyer and completed numberous transactions on the site, the transactions show up in my PayPal account (buyer and seller) as complete.
    - I’ve double checked the IPN URL in EE and PayPal is correct mysite.com/index.php?ACT=34 is what SCM is telling me it should be; I checked exp_actions table and sure enough the value is 34.
    - .htaccess is not being used to eliminate index.php

Yet, EE is not recording any of the purchases.  I’ve also tried a re-send numerous times from the Paypal IPN history page with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    Terry

*BUMP* If anyone in the Pro Network wants to step in and lend some help here, I’m happy to pay you well for your time.  I’m on a bit of a tight timeline - much like everyone else here in our hyper-connected inter-web-world 😊

Note, I’ve also taken a look at this thread and I am certain that the buyer is verified. Yet EE is still not showing any purchases.

    Hi Terry,

I split your posts off the original thread since it relates to a version of EE that’s seen many updates since. I’d rather start a fresh thread with you to get you helped out as quickly as possible.

Be on the lookout for an email from me. I’d like to get a first-hand look at what’s going on here, and I’ll be sure to follow up on it as soon as your login details come in.

Quick note Kevin - I’ve re-enabled .htaccess to eliminate index.php because I needed it removed to work on building out other portions of the site, since having index.php out of the url structure is part of the overall plan for the site.

Just a note to any onlookers here that we’re working privately to resolve this with Terry. Once we have a resolution, we’ll post it back here!

After some investigation by our devs, we determined that the issues caused in this thread were due to a third-party add-on which altered the IPN response from PayPal and thus killed the Simple Commerce Module’s ability to continue processing the response. Globally disabling extensions allowed us to narrow it down to extensions, and from there (and with a database backup in place), individual extensions can be disabled in order to narrow it down to the offending extension.

If anyone else is having a similar issue and the steps above do not resolve it, please click the button below to open up a related thread. Thanks!
