    Hi, I recently upgraded to 2.2.2 (from 2.1.3) and the file uploader has taken a big nose dive. I can’t imagine that EE would have made it worse!

    I’m including a screenshot.

    Here’s the dealio > I recently upgraded. I made certain (5x!) that all the themes folders have been updated. I’ve updated plugins.

    =>Modules installed:
    Deeploy Helper   2.0.3
    Low Reorder 1.2.1
    Moblog   3.1
    NavEE   2.1.1

    =>Accessories installed: None

    =>Extensions installed:
    Matrix   2.2.2.1

    =>Plugins installed:
    RogEE Category Sorted Entries   1.0
    CE Image   1.5.6
    Magpie RSS Parser   1.3.5

    =>When I try deleting a plugin, it acts like it is deleting, but does not delete.

    =>I’ve tried removing moblog (or any module) and I get this error:
    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined variable: query
    Filename: moblog/upd.moblog.php
    Line Number: 118
    Fatal error: Call to a member function row() on a non-object in /home/pinebr/public_html/pbadmin/expressionengine/modules/moblog/upd.moblog.php on line 118

    Evoir,

    I’m sorry you’ve run into this, it certainly seems as though you’ve taken all the necessary precautions to ensure a smooth upgrade. If I gather correctly, you have 3 distinct issues? Is you problem with the File Manger relate to broken functionality, or in regards to the cosmetics? For the Module and plug-in issues, we’d like to get a closer look. Be on the look out for an email from me with further instructions.

    Cheers,

    I have to run out now. But I gave you access. Not sure what is going on with the file uploads. I ahve another site with 221 and it’s much different. I think it functions, as in, it will upload a file. So, it’s a csmetics? Which led me to the themes folder….

    Anyway, I’ll check back later tonight. have to go out for a bit.

    Please be careful in there.

    Hi Evoir,

    Not sure what is going on with the file uploads. I ahve another site with 221 and it’s much different. I think it functions, as in, it will upload a file.

    The problem you were having here is this bug, which has been fixed in the next release. A solution was offered in the bug report, so I applied the fix to your site. You should now be able to upload files from within the file manager.

    (The upload button is still askew with the corporate theme, but that’s another bug that we’ve got fixed in the next release. It looks odd for now, but it functions properly.)

    =>I’ve tried removing moblog (or any module) and I get this error:
    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined variable: query
    Filename: moblog/upd.moblog.php
    Line Number: 118
    Fatal error: Call to a member function row() on a non-object in /home/pinebr/public_html/pbadmin/expressionengine/modules/moblog/upd.moblog.php on line 118

    This is also a bug that we’ve fixed in the next release of ExpressionEngine. (It should only be a bug in uninstalling that one module, not all of them. Is this happening in any others?) There’s a solution for this bug posted at the bug report that’ll fix the issue, so I applied it to your site as well.

    =>When I try deleting a plugin, it acts like it is deleting, but does not delete.

    I had no trouble doing this from the CP Plugins page. Are you still experiencing issues with this?

    From what I can tell, this takes care of the other issues you posted about in your original thread. Can you confirm that everything is working as expected?

    I just tried deleting RogEE Category Sorted Entries and went through the whole process, the page reloads and it is still present. You may try this as well.

    I just tried removing that plugin along with several others than I uploaded. The only one I had trouble removing was “RogEE Category Sorted Entries”, so it looks to be isolated to this plugin. I recommend working with the developer of this plugin to see if they’re able to offer a fix for it.

    I wish I never upgraded. Just realized that I am going to have to upgrade again soon. That image browser window is just not acceptable to hand off to a client. I was upgrading so they would be most current. I’m not used to your software being so buggy. I’m attaching an image of the file browser / uploader

    I switched to the default CP theme, cleared cache, reloaded. Didn’t look very different.

    I’m sorry you feel that way, Evoir. Bugs do come up in software, but as you can see, we had been working hard and we already them fixed in the next release. And within a day of contacting support, we had all those bugs fixed in your installation. Is that different from what you would like to see?

    Regarding your theme, the screenshot you posted looks like you’re still set to use the Corporate theme. Make sure you’re also checking the preferences under your own account > Customize Control Panel > Control Panel Theme.

    Does that get you switched?

    Ok, that’s a bit better, but I remember why I use Corporate now 😊

    Anyway, I am not used to really having to worry about bugs in EE. At least I didn’t start running into them until like the last year. It would be helpful when downloading updates and new software to link to the buglist. That would have steered me clear away from updating a website that was working perfectly fine b4… and waited for a more stable version.
