Pagination with table display of data

Hi All,

I have an EE page where I loop through the rows of a table with an {exp:channels:entries} tag—this is nested within the <table> tag. Is there any way that I can get pagination to display above and below the table?

My understanding is that the {paginate} tag needs to be within the {exp:channels:entries} tag, and I cannot place the latter above the table tag, since it would loop the table.
