    Hiya,

I just updated from v2.1.1 to v2.2.2 and since then all I get is a homepage and a cp login page with an error message:

    “Sorry
The requested item could not be loaded!
    (Status Code: 500)”

When I open the cp login page, I can see that some variables are passed forward and backward before I get the error message, so I suppose something is working in the background.

I am aware that this error message is a very generic one, but could you guide me into the right direction how I can tackle this problem?
The version I used before, was running fine, and I also run other CMSs for evaluation on that server (Drupal, WordPress) and they work fine. So, that might exclude any PHP issues (am running PHP 5.2.12-nmm2).

Thanks in advance for your help.

    All the best,
    Stephan

    Oops,

Just rebooted the computer, and now the error messages on homepage and cp panel login page state:
    An Error Was Encountered
Unable to load the requested class: autoload_ee

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Stephan

    Stephan,

That leads me to believe that not all the files made it into the upgrade. That would be odd, since it sounds as though you are running on a local server, correct? Let’s get a clearer picture of what might be happening here. Open /system/expressionengine/config/config.php and set:

    $config['debug'] = '2';

That will show all PHP errors that are being generated and might provide us a few more clues.

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for your reply. Meanwhile I figured out that the problem is solved when I upload “Autoload_ee.php” into “/system/expressionengine/libraries/”. This is odd, since this is an old version, because it is not included in my download of version 2.2.2.

Any ideas how that can be?

    Regards,
    Stephan

Update: The homepage and any other webpages seem to work fine now with the upload of “Autoload_ee.php”, but after logging in at the cp login page, the login page shows up again - means I am caught in a loop.

    Stephan,

That is odd. 2.2.2 does not include that file for sure. That your installation is looking for it, leads me to think that some remnants of a previous version are hanging about. The login loop just complicates the issue… I’m going to ask that you go through the update process again, but with a few key changes. Follow the outline here, but *do not* run the installer as identified in step 5. Instead, just remove the installer from your /system/ and proceed with the rest of the steps. Take care to backup /themes/third_party as well as /system/expressionengine/third_party and your database before doing this. When complete, you can restore the 2 third_party folders to their respective locations and let us know the outcome,

    Cheers,
