    Hi,

I’ve followed the feistygoat (http://feistygoat.com/blog/2010/10/force-ssl-in-expressionengine/) ssl setup (is there another way to set up ssl?) but have found that when a user navigated away from a page with served via ssl, they continue to be navigating via https. how can i stop this?

    Hi DanielQ,

As that is a 3rd party tutorial I’m afraid it’s not something that we would be able to support here.

With https at the moment in ExpressionEngine it’s pretty much an all-in or all-off sort of deal meaning that you can set your base URL to be https in your General Configuration preferences enabling you to get your whole site on https.

To get different parts of your site using https or http you would either need to use a 3rd party add-on :

    DM Force SSL

    httpS Support

or get in touch with the writer of that blog post.

Unfortunately we can’t give any more support on 3rd party tutorials or add-ons though so I’m going to move this one down to the Community Help forums and hopefully someone there will have tried this out before and be able to help out on this one.

Also hopefully one of those add-ons listed above might be able to help you out on this or there might be something else on devot-ee.com that can help out too.

    Thanks,

    Mark
