    Hi,

I already posted on the bug report here https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/16322/#12923

Not sure if this is used for support or not so I wanted to post in the official support forum.

Attaching also a screenshot and here again is my issue which I think might somehow be related to the actual bug report.

I have a similar issue. Everything works for the superadmin, but for my ‘admin’ users (which essentially have almost same rights as super admin) the upload window comes up for me and I am able to select a file from my computer, (both in an entry with file field, and in the file upload manager) but then, the ‘upload’ button never turns red and i cant click it.

I already applied fix from above.

    florian,

Let’s see if we can get this squared away. We’ll start by making sure the Member Group is assigned permission to upload in the FIle Manager. In Content-> Files-> File Upload Preferences, click the Edit icon for the Upload Destination you want to verify. Scroll to the bottom and look for “Member Group” and make sure “Yes” is set for the member group you want to allow to upload to this destination.

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

yes, the permission is set correctly for both super admin and ‘admin’.

    florian,

Are you seeing this everywhere this dialog pops up? Menaing, the File Manager, Custom File Fields, and File upload buttons in channel entries? Has this ever worked properly? Have you tried uploading a fresh copy of your /themes directory? To do that, upload /themes from your ExpresionEngine download to your server. Those file can be corrupted during FTP sometimes. Also, have you verified that permissions on the upload destination folder on the server are 777?

    Cheers,

    Dan,

I know it always worked for the superadmin because I created several ‘test’ posts for the client. The client told me about the issue. I had no idea. So I am not sure if for the ‘admin’ accounts it never worked from the start. I would assume that this is the case.

Yes, same behaviour from file upload button and from file manager. It works in wygwam, but that is a different dialog box.

I just reuploaded the themes folder. Yes, the permission was set to 777.

this is a strange one, really. On other websites that I did around the same time, with similar set up and same exact ee version, this is no issue..

I logged in and believe this is due to an owner and permissions issue. The owner on all files and folders was something different than the items in the uploads directory.

Florian if that is it please let me know and I will close this.

Marcus and I were able to find the issue. The third party add on Zoo Flexible Admin was the culprit. This apparently was already a known bug over at expressionengine zoo and these guys already had a fix for it. Downloading the newest build of Zoo Flexi Admin immediately fixed the problem.

Here is the support forum post for flexi admin: http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/support/zoo-flexible-admin/viewthread/2057/

Glad you and Marcus were able to find out the problem there. Thanks for letting us know.

If anything else crops up then please don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
