    v2.2.2 - Build: date 20110801

Since upgrading to the latest build:

Saving edits made to a page, submitted entry does not save at all.

New entries save, but do not display where older ones do.

    Suggestions?

    Hi Lee Sheppard,

Could you be more detailed about the problem you’re having? I’m not sure I understand your post. Give me enough details so that I could reproduce the problem simply by following your steps.

Also, list any modules or extensions you’re using in this installation.

    Hi Kevin

    I’m running EE v2.2.2 - Build: date 20110801
    with current versions of:
    Matrix
    Zoo Visitor
    Simple S3 Uploader
    P & T Switch

It was a page created back in November 2010, need to edit so went to Edit Entry and found the page. Updated the needed info and saved, it did not load the View page but instead reloaded the Entry page. Responding screen indicated that the information was saved but if I go back via the Edit Entry screen the entry is the original from last year.

I have other pages similarly done from back then so I have delete this page and entered it again. Changing the reference in the template and the page displays correctly and I can edit and the page shows the edits.

I think this sounds more like an issue with previous entries saved using earlier builds and not being updated during progressive development/build upgrades of the versions.

    Hi Lee,

There is a current bug related to the discussion forums module that can cause this exact issue. If you have the forums module installed, look at the very bottom of the publish page after you’ve hit the update/save button and see if there’s an extra custom entry field that’s looking for a forum ID number. On one of our sites, we have a pretty long publish page and didn’t spot the extra field EE had added at first.

There’s a patch in the bug tracker if it turns out that this is your issue.
