    Hi,

I have just updated our EE install to 2.2.2 and now users in South Africa are unable to login. They just get presented with the login form again. We have had this problem previously and it was solved by switching to cookies only as mentioned in the referenced post below however this does not seem to do the trick anymore :(

    Any Ideas?

    (ExpressionEngine v2.2.2 - Build: date 20110801)

    Thanks
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Did you try all the other items mentioned in that thread?

Specifically turning off secure forms and the requirement for IP addresses.

    Thanks.

Yes I have tried all this. It worked for a short while with require ip turned off and cookies only then stopped again. We currently have the users running through a proxy which seems to do the trick though not ideal.

    Thanks

    Hi Matt,

As it is working through a proxy I think this might just be down to the problems in South Africa I’m afraid.

There are many known issues and unfortunately these are out of our hands. If it’s working through a proxy and for yourself then I think this is probably due to the firewall restrictions in that Country.

I’ve asked around on this one and we believe this to be the case so I’m not sure that there’s much else we can do on this one I’m afraid.

As they have it working through a proxy though then will this suffice?

    Thanks.

    Mark
