I’ve been scouring the forums for the answer to this, to no avail…

I’m trying to save my templates as files so I can access them via Coda on my Mac, but when I try and safe a template I’m informed:

Unable to save your template as a text file

Here are the steps I’ve taken so far:
    * Created a directory in my systems directory called ee-templates
    * Set permissions for that folder to 777
    * Turned off php safe_mode in my .htaccess file
    * Activated saving templates as files in Global Template Preferences
    * Added the basepath to that folder in Global Template Preferences: /home/xxxxx/domains/mydomain.com/html/system/ee-templates/
    * Tried formatting the basepath differently, adding s in front of the xxxxx of my Grid server ID, removing the first /

Does anyone have any other ideas of how I might resolve this?

    Thanks in advance!

Wouldn’t you know it?! As soon as I post this my friend points out that I’ve made a typo on my Gridserver ID number!!
    It’s working fine now.

Glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
