    Hi All,

I seem to be having a permission issue on an admin group account I created. So that someone can add/edit content, and within the channel I have a image upload field but for the admin group account it says permission denied, I have check all the option and said yes to all but still getting field denied.

Any help will be great, Thanks

Note that you’ve got to set permissions for the file upload location too, not just the member group. So in the file upload settings, make sure your member group is allowed to upload to that directory.

And then, check the actual folder on your server is writable (depending on your server config it should be 755 or 777)

Also if that doesn’t work, check the settings on the image upload field itself, to make sure its using the correct upload location and allowed file types

Let me know how you get on

    Hi, Mat,

Dave is spot on, you’ll need to give your member group specific permissions to that file upload preference in CP Home > File Manager > File Upload Preferences > That specific upload preference.

Please let us know if that helps!

Thank you both Dave and Lisa, I found that sneaky setting and all is working as intended
