When I Google specific terms, how can some results shows the child pages, but the other not?

Is this something that Expression Engine or any CMS does or is this from Google?

It’s something Google does by itself, and as far as I know you can’t influence it. The longer your site has been up, and the more important Google thinks the pages are, the more likely it is to happen.

Thanks. Do you think this is related with the size of the site too? I mean, I rarely find a portfolio website will be shown in Google with (Home) (2) About (3) Works etc..?

I’m not really sure, but I have done some pretty small sites which, over time, have ended up with links like that. It seems to be more a question of time online. I’ve seen some pages listed like that that seem to have very low PageRank.

those are called sitelinks and are related to the authority of the website and typically are shown for sites that closely match a search query.

If you search for an exact match brand name, if a site has a direct match it will most often show the full site-links, general searches don’t show them as often
