We had someone build a website for us using ExpressionEngine. We own a license just have not merged this info over into our account yet. I am trying to edit the content on one of the pages. It appears that its a WYSIWYG editor. I need to insert html into this section. When I click the HTML button on this editor it opens up a windows that’s completely blank. Shouldn’t the HTML be located in this area? Are there permissions that need to be set or what could be going on that is preventing me to view/edit the HTML directly?

    Welcome to the forums.

It’s a bit difficult to troubleshoot, do you know what WYSIWYG editor has been installed? The first step should really be to go back to the person who built the site as they will know how things have been set up - it is possible that adding custom HTML to the editor has not been enabled.
