I’m using EE 2.1.3 and wanted to know if it’s possible to configure EE to bypass the message page when logging in or searching? I find it very unnecessary when searching. Any help is appreciated.

I wish they would add 2 parameters to the search and login form tags:

    1) First parameter: show_message=‘Yes/No’ to display or bypass the message screens.

    2) Second parameter: error_template=’’ to use our own custom error template to display error messages.

    Thank you,

    Mike

The Login Redirect addon allows for this, although it isn’t being developed any more and does not work on EE 2.2. It might still work on 2.1.3.

Not perfect, but you could give it a try.

I know it would mean an add-on cost, but there is the Custom System Messages add-on that would give you the ability to control system messages, like login/logout, in a proper EE template.
