    I am using EE 1.7.1.

Can anyone help me to link two entries?

On one template I have a number of entries coming from a particular weblog.

How can I link to these entries from other entries around the site? I want the link to go to a particular entry on the page and thought I could use the <a > tag, but that doesn’t seem to work.

    Thank you!

Have you looked into the Relationship field type, you can use the to create lists of related entries, or use something like the Playa addon.

Thank you! I was hoping for a simpler method, but will look into this.

You could use a plain old link in your entry, but then if something about the linked entry changes it may or may not work.  Using a relationship field ties the two entries together at the entry id level, which means the connection between them is retained no matter what inside the content of the entry may change - like the URL title for example.

    Thank you!

I understand the concept of this and have created tons of links to entries within various templates.

What I don’t know is how to link (i.e. what syntax to type) in an entry to link it to another entry on a different page.

I would really appreciate knowing this.

    😊
