Man i’m on a roll with fixes and broken stuff this week.

FIrst I noticed that after upgrading to 2.2.2, my upload directory for file fieldtypes had changed and was acting funny - after uploading a file, it threw a huge list of php errors. I thought maybe the problem was my CP theme so I went and changed it back to default, when it totally nuked all the styling in my CP. I’ve tried uploading my backed up themes folder, i’ve tried uploading my bakcked up cp_themes folder.

    Thoughts?

    philanthropyRT,

you will need to use the EE2.2.2 theme folder. Can you replace yoru backed up themes folder with that please?

after uploading a file, it threw a huge list of php errors

What errors? Can you paste them here?

Did you sync files after upgrade?

I just replaced my backup themes folder with the downloaded 2.2.2 folder and still no fix.

I’m going to just re-upload everything ƒresh 2.2.2. again and see where things went haywire.

Well went from bad to worse.

I re-uploaded all of the fresh 2.2.2 files, tried to run the update wizard which crashed, and gave me this:

    A Database Error Occurred

    Error Number: 1060

    Duplicate column name 'batch_location'

    ALTER TABLE `exp_upload_prefs` ADD `batch_location` VARCHAR(255)

    Filename: updates/ud_215.php

    Line Number: 169

OK. Long story short: I’m back up and running.

Most stuff is working and we’re back at my original problem: the File Manager and File Upload is not working.
I try to synchronize files w. the database and it just returns me to a blank page and does nothing. Also, the language doesn’t seem to be rendering properly on the upload pages (see image attached).

    ....thoughts?

You can go ahead and close this as “solved”.

I just realized the entirety of these problems was due to not uploading some of my custom files/folders properly upon the update from 2.1.3 to 2.2.2.

    Great silly learning lesson.
    Thanks again John.
