Populating EE with external data

Hi

I’m working on an EE site where my client has requested to populate the site from a Omnis Studio database. preferable via FTP using csv files. Also data generated by EE needs to be fed back into Omnis Studio again via FTP.

Any suggestions on how this can this be achieved?
