How is the {link} generated in the User Message template?

    Hello,

I have a custom User Message template set up that works fine when the user is to be redirected to the home page for the site, but for some reason breaks when the user should be redirected to one of the other templates.

For example, I’m using the Forum Subscribe add-on from DevDemon, which should refresh the same page each time the user clicks on one of the links to subscribe/unsubscribe from a given forum, but where it should be redirecting the user to domain.com/membership/forum_subscriptions, instead it directs the user to domain.commembership/forum_subscriptions (without the slash between the domain name and the template group name).

This is on an EE 2.2.1 site. This behavior occurs in multiple browsers, so it does not seem to be browser-specific.

Any suggestions that might help me get this working would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, GVF. I’m not familiar with that particular add-on, you’ll need to go to them for support. In the meantime, moving to Community Help forum for additional support.

Thanks for the response, Sue, but I don’t think this thread belongs in Community Help. I’ll follow up with the DevDemon support team for the issues I’m having with their add-on, but I don’t think EE is exempt from this problem.

I’m seeing this same sort of behavior in other situations as well. For example, when changing my password, the “Return” link that appears in the User Message page points to a URL like this, which is clearly incorrect:

    http://domain.com/http://domain.com/template_group/template_page

Could I ask that this thread be moved back into the Support forums?
