A few issues here (apart from the version number and topic list pagination bugs):

    1) All users appear as Hidden. I’ve tried logging in to various test accounts from different user groups on different browsers, and I always get logged in as Hidden.

    2) When I try to open certain topics,  I get a few PHP Errors on top (only displayed when logged in as Super Admin, of course).

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined offset: 1
    Filename: libraries/EE_Typography.php
    Line Number: 995

For example, here I get four errors. Here I get three errors.

    3) Many users are telling me that they are constantly getting logged out (I have also noticed this myself). Before the upgrade a user would stay logged in until they manually logged out. I think this could be related to the problem where all users appear as hidden. Maybe Cookie problems?

All this happened after updating from EE 2.1.3 to 2.2.2 and Forums 3.1.5.

    Macrike,

Are you running your forums through regular templates?

Can you tell us what the other errors you received were?

Have you visited the Discussion Forum Module settings since your update?

    Are you using any add-ons?

The forums are running through regular EE templates using {exp:forum}.

No other errors were found apart from the ones listed above, the most bothersome being users getting kicked out constantly.

Yes, I’ve visited the Discussion Forum Module after the update as advised in the docs.

Got quite a few add-ons, but the only one that is being used in the same template as the forums is CE Image 2.1.3. All other add-ons are for outside the forum, on the main page.

    Hi,

For the Online list issue it sounds you might be running into this bug.

On the other issues, I think it’d be best to take a look ourselves. Be on the lookout for an email from us. Thanks.

I’m also having problems with Search. I think I’m gonna switch to Google for search, because the current forum search is not very efficient.

Btw, I’m going abroad tomorrow and I won’t be available until the weekend. Just to let you know, since I’ve sent the form with login details last week.

    Hi Macrike,

I’m working on the different issues you’re having here. With regards to the search problem, does it look like this might be the issue?

With regards to the rest of the issues, see the email I’m sending you privately.

Yeah, although I believe this has been solved in ExpressionEngione 2.3, correct? I switched to Google for the forum search, but now this is fixed I might switch back to default.

Also, problem #2 (see first post) has been solved, apparently.

It appears to be fixed in 2.3. Do you still require assistance, or are we good to close the thread?

Well, I’m still exchanging emails with Kevin regarding problems #1 and #2. Not sure if we will continue using this thread. You decide what’s best. 😉

    Hi Macrike,

We’ll keep this up until you have resolution. That way the solution can be posted here for everyone to share 😉

    Cheers!
