Unable to login to Control Panel

    Hello, I am the dev assigned to my company’s website using EE. I am unable to login to Control Panel. When clicking on forgot password it does not take my email or boss’ email.

    Hi tsfexhibit,

    It might be that your and your boss’s email isn’t in their system. Does your company still have access to someone with Super Admin access that could check your accounts to make sure they have the correct information?

    Unfortunately no, I’ve tried to contact everyone I can today and we don’t know whose email address is on file.

    Our support policy lets our customers know what kind of expectation to have with our response times. We strive to respond to every request within 1 business day.

    Unfortunately, if no one at your company knows the username/password or the email address on the accounts within your ExpressionEngine installation, there’s not much we can do to help. You’ll need to work with the rest of your web team to determine the account information used to create accounts in your system in the past.

    I was told by another member of the web team that the password was not changed by anyone in the office. They also mentioned that it can be changed in the database. Can this be done? If so how?

    We are completely down as we try to work through this issue. If anyone can help quick it would be GREATLY appreciated.

    We really need to access our website/cms. We just purchased a license that we are completely unable to use. There has to be a way that someone at Tech Support can reset the password for us. The person who handled this previously does not work for this company anymore and is not available for assistance.

    We need this issue to be resolved immediately. Call us at 631-273-1563, so that we can get this past us today. We have given all the information that we possibly can in order to help resolve this issue.

    While I appreciate how frustrating this is for you, unfortunately there is really nothing we can do to help here. While it’s outside the scope of support we can offer, we also don’t have Super Admin access to your installation. We have no way of resetting your password. Because passwords are hashed and salted, it cannot be done by a simple UPDATE query to the database either. If you have access to the database, you might be able to update one of the accounts’ email addresses and then use the Forgotten Password tool.

    I really do hate to see that you’re having trouble here, but unfortunately there is simply nothing more I can do to help here.

    Hello,

    I am having the a similar issue. When I attempt to log in to EE, I am brought to a blank page and nothing loads. When I click the forgot password link, it does the same thing. I have tried logging in in Firefox, IE, Chrome, and Safari. Nothing works. I suspect there is a problem with my account or the EE system.

    I cannot access anything any EE tools and it took me several days just to get privileges to post here. I have needed need to make updates to our website and troubleshoot some issues we are having for days now, so a timely response would be greatly appreciated.
