I’m fairly new to ee, so please bear with me if I’m overlooking something obvious.

    I’ve just installed a copy of 2.2.2 (not a update, but a fresh install).  I haven’t added any add-ons, etc.  And, I’m logged in as a super-admin.

I’m working through the first video of Ryan Irelan’s tutorials on Mijingo, so I haven’t done anything particularly crazy.  Just set up a couple of templates, created a couple of channels, and that’s it.  However, when I go to Admin > Channel Administration > Channel Fields, there’s no option for “Add/Edit Custom Fields” as shown here: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/cp/admin/content_admin/custom_channel_fields.html.  Only options for “Rename” and “Delete” are available.

I’ve searched the forums, but haven’t found anyone with the same problems as me (though these threads appear to be similar: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/192251/, http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/193821/, and https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/16064/).  However, unlike these threads, I am not using Matrix (or any other add-ons, for that matter).

I’ve attached a screencapture of my problem.

Well you’ve got the custom field groups set up right, have you tried clicking on one? Then you’ll get the add custom field button top right 😊 Basically, you create ‘groups’ of custom fields, and then assign this group to a channel. Good luck!
