I’m receiving this message on a EE 2.2.1 upgrade from EE 1.6.8 on a cloud server running several EE installs. We recently performed the upgrade to a staging folder and are handling the updates there. We though we had the site all working and moved it to production on the same server. We ran into some issues and restored the production site back (EE 1.6) while keeping the staging server running for further testing.

After the install back of the original site,  we went back to the CP in the staging server and received that message which I understand but it was pointing to the file on the production server and not to its own directory. I’ve run Deeploy helper and it looked like all of the paths were correct to the staging server so not sure what I would be missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, drivenewmedia.

Which particular file did it say was changed?

    Sorry about that.

It said that the index.php file has been modified in the root. The only downside again was that the file it said had been modified was in an entire different directory than the directory I was viewing.

You might want to verify your paths are set correctly in the General section of the control panel. I suspect that’s where the problem lies.
