I was provided a new js file which did enabled the display of the modal window in IE 7. Unfortunately, when using the fix, then the File Manager does not work. Our ability to upload images and select images and use them in entries is disabled.

Could the support team please review?

    Hi, Hendrik-Jan Francke.

I’ll let Robin know what happened when you used the new js file. We appreciate your patience as we work through your problem. If you add a link to the bug report back to this thread, that will also alert Robin of an additional problem with the fix.

Hi, Hendrik-Jan. There is a fix for it, but it wasn’t in EE 2.2.2.

Assuming I need to wait til the next release? Any sense of timing?

    Hi Hendrik,

I am sorry we couldn’t get a fully working patch to you. We are shooting for a release early next month. In the meantime have you given any thought to something like Chrome Frame for IE?

No, I had not thought of that. Not even sure how I would wrap that around the EE CP. If you post instructions, we can try.

It’s not EE-specific; it’s something your client can install to use Chrome’s rendering engine inside the IE window.

Hrm- testing a default agile install in IE 7 (running latest developer branch) I was able to add a new category via publish page as well as successfully upload.

I’ve sent an email, as I’d like to take a closer look if possible.  It may be a version issue or possibly something different in your particular setup.  Right now, I’m just not able to replicate.
