EE2 site that will be connecting to an external dB for searching/viewing products. I’m installing Facebook Connect to simplify logging in. Once someone is logged in and viewing an item detail page, is there any way they can “save to favorites?”  I’m thinking of just a member page with a list of products they “liked.”

Can custom member fields be used? I’m thinking that if the current url can be saved as a “favorite”, then the url’s could be displayed on a member page somehow.

Did you find an answer to this?  I’m in need of this fucntionality as well.  Allowing a user to save specific EE entries as “favorites”, then sending those favorites on to a client for example.
