Starting the process of getting familiar with this feature and I have some really basic questions about it.

If I’m creating a Stand alone Entry form for one of my channels:

A duplicate title is entered: will this cause an error? can that error message be customized?

Entry Status. Can i preset the entries from the form with a specific Status?

any info would be awesome.

Hi Jersey,

Setting error_handling=“inline” will allow you to display the error near the field that generates it, but I don’t think it can be customized.

{exp:safecracker} uses many of the same parameters as the standard Channel Entries tag. You should be able to set status=“my_status”

{exp:safecracker channel="my_channel" status="my_status"}
--do safecracker stuff --
{/exp:safecracker}
