EXTERNAL STYLESHEETS NOT WORKING

    Hello.
I am currently using EE v 1.6.8 and I am quite new to this CMS as I was thrown into at my internship. The issue I am having is with the external style sheets and editing the CSS.
I have tried multiple techniques suggested but have yet to figure this mystery out. Pardon my web jargon as I am learning as I go.

    Here are the details:

The stylesheet link is located within the template group global (note, not the main template group) under the template name .header2 and is as follows for the link.

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="/css/screen2.css" />

The link /css/screen2.css is located within the FTP client I am using (cyberduck) under the folder htdocs and the link is a Dreamweaver file.

With this being said, I have tried altering the Dreamweaver file, replacing the existing file and refreshing my cyberduck. No changes are updated on the website.

In addition to this I have also tried creating a template name under the main template group home as a CSS stylesheet template type, pasting all of the CSS code within it and updating the template. Then when I try to alter the css, again, nothing happens.

I have been digging and trying to find my way through this as it is coming at me 100mph.
Perhaps I am overlooking a small detail, but I have been at it for over a week, so I need any help possible at this point.

    Thanks in advance.
    Hopefully this is coherent.

    Hi Christopher -

Sometimes your browser will cache CSS, so make sure to investigate your local settings to ensure that’s not the case.

Solving a problem truly is a collaborative process. Disabling the cache did the trick!

Thank you for your time and knowledge.
    Greatly appreciated.

    Best,
    Chris
