EE to Wordpress , how ?

    Hi , i love ee, but theres this wp theme i need to use and i need to migrate to wp on this site. How do i export and make it a wp site without errors ?

    p.s or is there someone who can help me on very affordable price ? i dont mind if very affordable. my site is using latest ee. 2.21 thanks

    Hi rudy,

    Perhaps you might consider converting the WP theme to ExpressionEngine templates instead. Given the two options, that’s the one I’d pick, since EE is extremely flexible. You can insert your content into almost any HTML/CSS design. If you need help doing this, I’d recommend posting to the EE job board. Of course, if you still want to convert from EE to Wordpress, I suppose you could also post that to the EE job board, though you might have more success looking for someone to help you get on the Wordpress platform by posting over on their forums.

    Try this link for instructions to Move EE to WP in 64 Easy Steps. It’s not really 64, but it works. I’ve converted a dozen EE sites to WP using a slightly modified version of that method, but only on EE 1.7.x, not EE 2.x.

    Oh, and one more thing: Despite WP’s rapid improvements, there are still plenty of features and functions that are just impossibly messy to create and manage in Word Press, that are easy in EE. You may find it easier simply to create the WP theme in EE (also easy to do) and go from there.
