I followed all the steps word for word, http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/update.html

Now I get this when I try to access the admin.php (In the freelance version “admin.php” doesn’t exist, only index.php)

    Database Error
    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: 4096

Message: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string

    Filename: libraries/Auth.php

    Line Number: 240

I think it has something to do with the installer… I was advised you didn’t have to run the installer if you’re just upgrading the same version… Is this correct?

OK, I had to run the installer. Apparently there was a version difference I missed. Everything looks good but I noticed something a bit odd. The menu additions that I had added in the previous version no longer work. For instance, I added the “Template Manager” to the top menu and when I click it takes me to my site, and not the “Template Manager”. However if I click “Design” >> “Templates” >> “Template Manager” I am able to get to it. Any ideas?

So to fix the above issue. I just deleted my tabs and re-added them, worked. Not sure what the cause of the bug was though… I’ll leave that to the QA guys to figure out. 😉

OK I think I figured out why the tabs had issues. I forgot to use the new language directory… I noticed I wasn’t able to access my modules from the “Add-On” section due to a language error…

Sorry for all the post! Issues RESOLVED! 😊
